About this painting . . .
This painting started with my sketching as I listened to Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture. Then, as I applied acrylics to canvas with painting knives, the rhythm of the music and painting took on a life of its own, eliciting my wild, bold bursts of color. That's why I gave the painting the title, The 1812 Overture At Play.
