About this painting . . .

   In Color Energy 8, I first painted Color Energy 7 onto paper that had several coats of acrylic gesso. Then I created a cross design on top of the other design, with the negative space painted dark. With this mask, I was able to let portions of the underlying design break through in dramatic fashion.
