About this painting . . .
This painting started off as a study of light and dark, with objects developed to tie the sections together. As I explored the interaction of the objects with the section colors, the objects became a more integrated part of the design. The objects began to arise out of the painting, thus the title, Emergence. Iridescent watercolors were used to create additional pathways of movement through the painting.
