About this painting . . .
Many streets around my hotel in Kiev, Ukraine, had fascinating multistory apartments with balconies above and often businesses below. Many cars crammed the narrow streets, with numerous vehicles parked partly on the sidewalks. With trees lining the streets, people could enjoy both nature and plant life, as well as access to shopping and dining. I both sketched and took photos of the street scenes, then, when I got home, created Kiev Autumn using watercolor.
