About this painting . . .
For some time I have been wanting to play with the colors of the face. Both Jan Kunz and Stan Miller have used a wide range of colors in their portraits. I thought it was my turn to substitute unusual hues yet still represent the human face. Painting my portrait in watercolor, Technicolor John, was a blast.
