About this painting . . .
First, I sketched the outline of several objects, like kitchen utensils. Next, I overlaid the sketches in a random way. Then I began to see how shapes were beginning to emerge. As I saw a rhythm in the shapes, I refined the design and began adding color. Suddenly I saw an abstract, ghost-like rider amidst the shapes.
