About this painting . . .

Near Ho Chi Minh's tomb, a group of people labored in the sun to pull weeds to make the dead leader's large burial grounds look groomed. They were given the honor of pulling weeds as good members of the communist party.

Indistinguishable as people in their uniforms, they seemed to be more like abstract shapes. I took a photo of them, then painted a picture of them floating in a sea of green. The result of this watercolor is Weedeaters.
