About this painting . . .
The world's tallest tower, called Quth Minar, dates to early Islamic rule in India. It is huge and a piece of art, but I didn't want an image of a tower. I looked around the complex that had other picturesque ancient buildings and found a viewpoint that would frame the tower and give me some other interesting structures. I didn't have much time to sketch, so drew the outline at the site, then completed Delhi Monument Tower in my room that night. January 25, 2007.
