About this painting . . .
As I was coming out of a restaurant on a narrow street in Heidelberg, Germany, I was struck by a little building behind one of the storefronts. The disrepair of Beauty in Ruins was fitting for a city known for it’s remnants of a large castle. October 21, 2005
