About this painting . . .
Men of the nomadic Maasai tribe in Kenya have an uncanny ability to co-exist with wild animals. They are warriors known, not only for their red dress and ornamentation, but for their dance. Here they are leaping straight into the air in unison while chanting and moving rythmically, which I tried to capture in Dancing Maasai Warriors. February 13, 2006
