About this painting . . .
On an excursion to a small ranch not far from the Grand Canyon, we encountered an old rancher who lived in a weatherbeaten home with real pioneer character. Outside the building was a very large old tree that provided much shade over the years. We ended up eating Under the “Lunch Tree”, as the old tree was called. August 14, 2003
