About this painting . . .
This painting began with my sketches of a beautiful butterfly I had seen in Costa Rica. As I simplified the lines in its wings, I was intrigued with the allure of the flowing form. I added this form to another one of my doodles for Color Energy 5. By placing these forms on or between rectangles, the connection between the shapes added a touch of mystery.
