About this painting . . .
The elegant Habsburg Palace in Vienna has stunning curves. I first sat in a corner by a pillar and created one of my traveling sketches. There were not many visitors that day, so I only had a curious attendant to look over my shoulders. While there, I captured the scene on film. Long after being in Vienna, I tackled the complex but compelling columns and curves for my version of Palace Curves.
